A key contributor to this progress is VTEC, whose strength lies in translating technical concepts into robust, market-ready solutions. Their deep understanding of system-level design and industrial integration ensures that our sensors are not only highly accurate, but also scalable, manufacturable, and compatible with real-world use cases. VTEC’s role bridges the gap between lab-scale innovation and practical deployment — a crucial step in making new sensing technologies viable at scale.

Innoflex brings complementary value through their specialized knowledge in emission reduction solutions. Their state-of-the-art R&D infrastructure and expertise in prototyping have enabled optimal and cost-effective integration of our sensor into their solution.. By leveraging Innoflex’s capabilities, we’ve been able to accelerate the development cycle and explore design innovations that wouldn’t have been possible within a conventional development track.

This joint project explores new frontiers in gas sensing using integrated photonics, focusing on real-world applications that can significantly improve proce

ss efficiency in sectors such as agriculture and industry. By combining our expertise in sensor technology, materials science, and system integration, we've created a platform that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in compact gas detection systems.

The result? A robust foundation for next-generation ammonia (NH₃) and methane (CH₄) sensors, tailored for deployment in demanding environments — from barns to industrial plants — where early detection and actionable insights lead to smarter decision-making and cost savings.

The project has been made possible with support from European innovation funding, enabling us to take bold steps in research and development. You'll find the official project logos displayed below as a mark of this shared commitment to technological progress.

This initiative is part of a broader movement to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems in Southern Netherlands, building long-term value through smart partnerships and purpose-driven technology.
